We are pleased to announce that the fifth edition of The Legal 500: Tax Disputes Comparative Guide is now live, with the Spain chapter written by Xavier Rubert, Managing Partner of Lullius, Carlos Arroyo and Fernando Flores, Senior Tax Associates.

The Guide is a leading international reference on tax disputes. In each jurisdiction, selected practitioners answer the same set of questions, so readers can compare regimes side by side. The Spain chapter follows a Spanish tax dispute from beginning to end: Tax Agency audits and inspections, limitation periods, the line between administrative infringements and tax crime, settlement agreements, and the appeal route from the Economic-Administrative Tribunals to the Supreme Court.

Being invited to write this chapter recognises the firm's standing in tax disputes, tax controversy and tax litigation in Spain. It also reflects our daily work for internationally mobile individuals, families and family businesses, for whom a Spanish tax dispute is often decided as much by procedure as by substantive law. We are grateful to The Legal 500 for entrusting the chapter to Lullius.
